We strongly believe that fashion can help create change; we all use it as our non-verbal form of communicating to the world “This is my style & this is what I stand for”, so we set out to find the message that represents us & positive change.
B Boheme

People often ask us why leather – as a natural material – is not a better choice than the synthetic vegan alternatives we use. We say that the leather used for fashion, unfortunately, is not very natural at all (and far from always a by-product from the food industry). Toxic chemicals such as zinc, lead, dyes, cyanide and formaldehyde are used to treat it, which makes it decompose very slowly, producing a greater quantity of refuse which has an obvious negative environmental impact. In addition, tanneries consume a lot of energy and are very polluting; and the carcinogenic chemicals used negatively affect the health of workers, too.
BHAVA

We do not believe in the use of leather. We have always been and will always be an animal free company. In addition, we believe a truly compassionate approach to design needs to go beyond using leather alternatives to include the environment, working conditions, and finally to protect you, our loyal supporters and of course your feet.

Fashion Without a Face

We make all of our stylish & timeless designs from TREES! Yep, that's right, our leathers are made from oak. Their bark is farmed once every nine years when the oak tree is in a greater state of growth, meaning that the tree doesn't get cut down, it gets to restore itself, bigger and stronger. Some of the trees in the farms where our leathers are sourced are more than 100 years old! Ramiro, who owns the ranch says, his trees are as important to him and as loved as his children.
